No Room for a mirror?

Do you wish you had a mirror that gave you a full length view, but have not had wall space for it? Here is the solution. Rev-A-Shelf remarks "We envisioned a closet mirror better than the rest and with the CM-1448 that is exactly what you get. This beautiful full length patent pending mirror installs in a space just over 3" wide. It features a soft-open, soft-close slide system. reversible mounting, a sleek design and comfortable handle, adjustable 60 degree pivot and easy installation with only 8 screws." We think they have a winner. We always are looking for a way to build mirrors into cabinets, and I love the way it folds out of the cabinet. Maybe this will work for you too.

2011 Parade of homes

This is a new picture of the 2011 Parade of homes kitchen built for JMI Construction. It is located at "The Fairways at the Ledges". Tile work was designed by Tapestry Design. This cabinetry is built in the "Full Exposure method. Knotty alder is the wood species and the doors are a pillow panel with a clam frame. I think it really turned out nice. The cabinets have "Soft Close" drawer slides as well as soft close hinges.

The peace of mind accessory

This is the coolest thing since grandchildren. You may have a Toddler in the family whose only purpose in life is to empty out your cabinets of all contents. It's fun to watch but hard to follow around putting it all back. You may have tried the security items available but didn't like how they scratched your cabinet faces. The alternative was to drill cabinet locks in the doors, but you really didn't want to have cabinet locks in your beautiful cabinets. This is a great solution! Nothing shows from the outside. Nothing to scratch and nothing to drill. The lock fastens on the inside of the cabinet and is unlocked from the outside with a magnetic key. That's right! You just touch the cylinder with the magnet to the door and it opens the lock that is on the inside.

Rev-a-shelf introduces it as a "Revolutionary peace of mind accessory for any Parent or Grandparent, the Rev-A-Lock. This security device is a one of-a-kind with powerful magnetic locks that can attach to wood, glass, metal, and particle board cabinets for a guaranteed safeguard from curious little hands. To open the cabinet, simply hold the magnetic key against the cabinet door to disengage the lock."

We have used this in other applications where we wanted to limit access. These are available in White, Brown, Red, or black. A Starter set of five locks with 2 keys is about $57.00. Locks and keys can also be purchased individually. The lock is equipped with a little switch lever on the inside that deactivates the lock so you don't have to unlock it when the grandchildren are not visiting.

Wood Floors

Normally we don't get involved in wood floors. Tapestry Design is a great place to get them  However they had this unique floor to do in their parade home and needed a custom job done. Brent Goodwin took on the assignment to build it. He laid it all out on the shop floor and did all his radius work and then took it to the job site and installed it. It was a masterful job of calculation to make this all fit in a circle that was bordered by rough stone. The Design work was done by the designers at Tapestry Design who are great at taking on the unusual and making it happen. We were excited to be able to provide this in the beautiful Home that was on display during the Southern Utah Home Builders show.

The under sink environment

Many of you may suffer from the fear of getting under that sink cabinet to find the cleaning product you need desperately. You never know what you are going to run into. If you are getting older like many of us it may be hard to get down and do the sorting. It seems like the sink cabinet piles up over time with the dark and dirty mess of fluids cleaning pads, and such. This Rev-a-shelf product solves the roll out tray problem by missing the plumbing and bringing the most used products out where you can easily get at them. Look how neat and orderly this cabinet looks.
Rev-A-Shelf mentions that this "Under sink pullout offers a unique U-shaped design created specifically to fit around obtrusive plumbing under the kitchen sink. This chrome wire pullout features soft-close full extension slides and bottom mount brackets." What a great product for those that want to clean up the mess and make items easy to get at. It is also a self install product if you want to purchase it and screw it in place, although our installers would be happy to assist with this.

Wood turnings

Turning is the most interesting part of our shop. You can watch the automatic lathe for hours and still not believe it is doing what it does. We supply turnings for several distributors  around the country. It's not a huge business but it pays it's way. The biggest advantage it gives us is the ability to add features to our cabinets that we may not have been able to do previously.
We supply all types of turnings including Kitchen posts, Newel posts with balusters. We can make templates for about any type of post you desire. One of the fun things we do is match historical turnings on many of the old homes and buildings from pioneer days.  This video shows the  milling attachment doing spiral routes on a turning. This post takes about 7 minutes to produce. The really great part is that we can duplicate the post to exact measurements every time.

Ending The Pan Nightmare

Rev-A-Shelf has this innovative solution to the pan drawer mess. A neat new way to organize your pans and lids for easy access. This item fits in a 21" opening making it easy to fit into most kitchens without using up a lot of space. This can also be installed in an existing kitchen if you have a 24" cabinet, or they have a smaller version that fits in a 15" cabinet. Rev-A-Shelf says "The 5CW2 features independently operating shelves that accommodate a variety of cookware sizes and brands. The top tier organizes lids and the bottom tier features adjustable dividers to store a variety of larger pots and pans." We have installed this in some of our cabinet installations with great success and owner satisfaction. It's just another of the great Rev-A-Shelf products.
We are fortunate to be able to supply these great products.
